The Jaipur Metro is a modern rapid transit railway serving Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, India. Inaugurated on June 3, 2015, it became India's sixth operational metro system following Kolkata, Delhi, Bangalore, Gurugram, and Mumbai. The system is owned and operated by the Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (JMRC).
The operational Pink Line spans 12.06 kilometers from Mansarovar in southwest Jaipur to Badi Chaupar in the historic walled heritage zone. Phase 1A (9.63 km, Mansarovar to Chandpole) was built elevated, featuring India's first triple-storey viaduct. Phase 1B (2.43 km, Chandpole to Badi Chaupar) runs completely underground using specialized tunnel boring machines to safeguard Jaipur's UNESCO heritage buildings and gateways.
